Caroline Carothers is currently a student at The University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Master’s in Higher Education Leadership and Policy. She is also the Feature Twirler for the Longhorn Band, where she represents the band, the university, and the sport of baton twirling at a variety of athletic and school events. In May 2019, she graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. While at Baylor, she was a Golden Girl Feature Twirler, a Chi Omega, and a Baylor Ambassador. She was on the Deans List and was selected as the Outstanding Management Student in the Baylor Business School.
In 2016, she won Miss Texas including the overall talent and interview award and went on to become a top seven finalist at Miss America. During her year of service, she made nearly 400 appearances and spoke before 100,000 people about the Texas Cares for Children Program, the Children’s Miracle Network, and her personal platform, “With + Math = I Can.” She encouraged students to have a growth mindset toward math, do well in school, and persevere through any challenge.
Caroline is also an ambassador for Twirling to Fight Cancer. In 2014, Caroline partnered with the organization to bring twirlers across the world together to entertain, educate, and enhance awareness by raising money to help find the cure for breast cancer. Her specific contribution of making and selling pink rhinestoned hairpieces have raised over $10,000 for the organization.
